High Adventure with Scouts BSA Linked Troops 427 - Wausau, Wisconsin Philmont, National Jamboree and Florida Sea Base

Philmont Trip - July 1-15, 2022

Six scouts and 2 leaders from Troop 427 completed their Philmont trip in the summer of 2022. Our crew of eight hiked and camped the backcountry of Philmont for 10 days and nights. Along the way, they worked together, overcame challenges, and enjoyed a variety of activities ranging from tomahawk throwing and black powder rifle shooting to fly fishing and panning for gold. Best of all, they enjoyed fantastic views of the Philmont backcountry and made memories that will last a lifetime!

How to Pay for Philmont

Philmont 2020 Budget Worksheet required for each Scout - We recommend you down load the Budget Worksheet and spend time with your parents on how to earn enough money to go on this adventure.
Samoset Council Campership Application - Scoutmaster Signature Required. Complete for campers with financial need and submit by May 1st
Troop 427 Camp Scholarship Request Form Available for members of Scouts BSA Troops 427 - This form is completely confidential and is only seen by the Scoutmaster and the Troop Camp Scholarship Committee. Scoutmaster Signature Required. Form needs to be submitted to Troop Committee Chair.
Troop 427 has plenty of opportunities to raise funds for Philmont. The woodpile is our main fundraiser, as well as selling popcorn. We also sell Kwik Trip car wash cards and work at the Jaycee Fundraiser.
